OXNARD — The Oxnard School District’s Child Nutrition Services department will offer a Summer Nutrition program at five school sites and three community beginning on Monday, July 2, 2018 and ending on Friday, July 27, 2018. Studies show that children are in need of nutritious food even during the summer months and this program is a streamlined approach to help feed hungry children. The Summer Nutrition Program offers anyone in the community ages 1-18 years old the opportunity to enjoy free lunch at the following school and community locations:
- Cesar Chavez, 301 North Marquita Street, noon – 12:30 p.m.
- Driffill School, 910 South E Street, noon – 12:30 p.m.
- Harrington School, 2501 Gisler Avenue, noon – 12:30 p.m.
- Juan Soria School, 3101 Dunkirk Avenue, noon -12:30 p.m.
- Sierra Linda School, 2201 Jasmine Avenue, noon – 12:30 p.m.
- Villa Madera, 1021 North A Street, noon – 1 p.m.
- Casa San Juan, 838 W. 5th Street, noon – 1 p.m.
- Oxnard Boys & Girls Club, 1900 W. 5th Street, noon – 1 p.m.
Paperwork or identification is not required in order to receive free lunch. The program will run at all school sites Monday through Thursday only and at all community sites Monday through Friday. No lunch will be served on the July 4th holiday. For questions, contact CNS at (805) 385-1501.
