You can claim your bragging rights by entering your fabulous salsa recipe in the showdown of the year – the Oxnard Salsa Challenge of 2017 – Amateur Division recipe competition takes place on Sunday July 30th, during the 24th Annual Oxnard Salsa Festival.

The contest is limited to the first 30 salsas and pre-registration is required. The entry fee is $25 per salsa and includes one souvenir t-shirt per entry. Entry forms are due by Friday, July 7, 2017.

Winning salsas will be selected in several categories including Best Red, Best Green, Best Fruit/Specialty, Best Mild, Best Medium, and Best Hot. Do you have a unique recipe? There’s a category for that and the judges love creativity. The Judge’s Choice Winner (the best of the best!) will be awarded with a $100 cash prize from the Oxnard Salsa Festival. First place category winners receive a Festival ‘goodie bag’.
