THOUSAND OAKS — The Thousand Oaks Certified Farmers’ Market will extend their market season with a special ‘Holiday Farmers’ Market’ at the Oaks Shopping Center in Thousand Oaks. The market will run through December 20 at a new location with special winter hours of 1 pm to 5 pm. The holiday market will contain a full selection of vendors and will be located in the delivery lane at the Oaks Main Entrance adjacent to the food court & parking structure. Customer parking for the market will be immediately adjacent to the parking structure with the elevators providing easy access from any parking level.
“We wanted to provide opportunities for our farmers to extend their season and give them the ability to pick up fresh produce and specialty items while our regular market is closed,” stated Karen Schott, Operations Manager for the Ventura County Certified Farmers’ Market Association. “We know how important access to fresh and local produce is when festive holiday meals are planned, and we are happy to provide this extended opportunity,” added Schott.
The Thousand Oaks Market will close for one week starting Thursday, December 27 and will re-open, rain or shine on January 3, 2019.
