Since Friday, there are 420 new COVID-19 cases reported and 16,690 new tests performed. There are 38 people hospitalized, 6 in the ICU. There have been 0 additional deaths. The
R-effective in Ventura County is 0.92, which means that the spread of COVID-19 is likely stable.
While the FDA has approved vaccines for ages 5-11, the CDC and California Department of Public Health (CDPH) have yet to endorse the decision. Ventura County is aligned with CDPH. Once the CDC and CDPH approve, vaccines will be offered to children ages 5-11 in Ventura County.
