¡Feliz Día de Los Muertos! Community members celebrated the holiday this weekend through dance, art, altars, and song at the Soliz-El Rio Library event in Oxnard, honoring ancestors and loved ones who have passed.
COVID-19 Update
Since Friday, there are 420 new COVID-19 cases reported and 16,690 new tests performed. There are 38 people hospitalized, 6 in the ICU. There have been 0 additional deaths. The R-effective in Ventura County is 0.92, which means that the spread of COVID-19 is likely stable.
While the FDA has approved vaccines for ages 5-11, the CDC and California Department of Public Health (CDPH) have yet to endorse the decision. Ventura County is aligned with CDPH. Once the CDC and CDPH approve, vaccines will be offered to children ages 5-11 in Ventura County.
75.3% of Ventura County’s population 12+ are fully vaccinated.
81.4% of Ventura County’s population 12+ has received the first dose.
82.8% of Ventura County’s population 18+ has received the first dose.

Request a Mobile COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic to your event or location at no cost. Businesses or organizations must have at least 35 people that would like to get vaccinated. Register by emailing grouptesting@covidclinic.org.
Need a ride to get a COVID vaccine?
  • Free Rides to COVID-19 Vaccine Appointments are available through Gold Coast Transit District’s GO ACCESS program. Must schedule a ride one day in advance by calling 805-485-2319.
  • The Ventura County Area Agency on Aging provides transportation services for older adults ages 60+ who have a scheduled appointment for testing or vaccine. Call 805-477-7300 to schedule a ride.
If you have received an eviction notice for non-payment of COVID-19 related rent debt, you are still responsible for that unpaid rent. The CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program can help pay your unpaid rent and keep you in your home, but you should apply, and notify your landlord within 15 days if you receive an eviction notice.
