Who Has the Best Michelada in Ventura County?
OXNARD — OPAC, the Oxnard Performing Arts Center Nonprofit Corporation, is thrilled to announce the return of CHELITA: Art, Music & Miches Festival on Sunday, June 29, from 12–6 PM at Heritage Square in Downtown Oxnard. This year’s event is free and open to the public, with a VIP option for guests seeking the full miche-lovers experience. Pre-registration is required and can be done through Eventbrite.
Now in its third year, CHELITA has become the ultimate mashup of micheladas, music, and art—Oxnard’s can’t-miss summer street party. The heart of the festival is the Michelada Competition, where top contenders face off for bragging rights in three coveted categories: Best Restaurant Michelada, Best Bottled Mix, and the crowd-powered People’s Choice.
Will Jalisco’s Restaurant defend its title for the third time? Can anyone dethrone Big D’s Michi Mix, the reigning bottled champ? Only one way to find out.

Michelada “Palette” Tastings – Back by popular demand! Guests can sample 10 miche creations from local vendors, using a colorful tasting “palette” to cast their vote.
