Downtown is ready to welcome Santa at the 69th Annual Oxnard Christmas Tree Lighting. Join the community for a tradition featuring entertainment, hot cocoa & cookies in honor of Santa’s arrival! Admission is free.

Do You Hear What I Hear?

It’s “The Sounds of Christmas,” themed Annual Christmas Parade! Featuring over 100 entries including, colorful floats, marching bands, equestrian units, local non-profits and businesses. Come early and stake out a curbside viewing point for the annual procession of community spirit, which moves along the mile-long route that begins at 9th and “A” Streets and ends at 2nd and “C” Streets.

Oh Come Tamale Faithful…

…Oh come ye to Plaza Park for the 12th Annual Oxanrd Tamale Festival! From strawberry sweets to savory meats, the event offers the most variety of tamales in one place. There will also be arts and crafts vendors with lots of great gift items. Activities include a tamale eating contest, tamale-making demonstrations, and live musical entertainment.

Holly Trolley Tours

Have a Holly Trolley Christmas

Climb aboard the double-decker Holly Trolley for a one hour guided tour of Downtown and the Historic District’s spectacular nighttime display of holiday lights. The tour begins at festively decorated Heritage Square with hot cocoa and cookies. Then cruise through Christmas Tree Lane with the best views of the region’s biggest display of holiday spirit. Prepaid reservations are a must for this favorite holiday tradition. Tickets are $13.50 per rider, toddlers riding on parent’s laps are free.

On the Third Thursday of Christmas…

Ventura County’s longest running monthly Food Truck event returns to where it all started at Heritage Square. A dozen gourmet food trucks are “sleigh-ted” to roll in for this special holiday edition paired with the final night of the annual Holly Trolley Tours (see info above). Seating will be provided in the festively decorated main plaza. Stick around and see the display of gingerbread houses inside Heritage Square Hall or head on down to La Dolce Vita 1901 Speakeasy to warm up fireside with some holiday spirits.

Gingerbread Sensation

See the Square decorated at the best time of the year. View fanciful displays of gingerbread houses inside Heritage Square Hall. Or take a docent-led tour of the “real deal” turn-of-the-century houses’ exteriors and selected interiors ($5 per person donation).
