Celebrate the season on Sat., Dec. 6th, at the Oxnard Christmas Parade. This year’s theme “A Storybook Christmas” will showcase creative floats, colorful marching bands, equestrian units, local school groups, and the man of the hour – Santa! This year’s Grand Marshal is Anderson .Paak. It all begins at 10:00 a.m. on Sat., Dec. 6th. Stake out your viewing spot on the route on A Street from 9th to 5th and north on C Streets in Downtown Oxnard.

NEW THIS YEAR: Parade Reserved Seating
This year, the Oxnard Downtowners Foundation is introducing a limited VIP Parade Seating Experience, offering spectators a comfortable and festive way to enjoy one of the city’s most beloved holiday traditions—all while supporting the continuation of this decades-long community celebration.
VIP guests will be seated in shaded, reserved areas located directly east and west of the Main Announcing Area (300 West Fifth Street). Each ticket includes a continental breakfast buffet served from 9:00 AM to 11:45 AM, featuring pastries, fruit, yogurt, coffee, and juice sponsored by BG’s Cafe.

All proceeds benefit the Oxnard Downtowners Foundation, helping to fund parade operations, logistics, and other year-round community programs, including the annual Tree Lighting Ceremony, Farmers Market, First Thursdays Food Trucks and the Heritage Square Summer Concert Series.

December 16th, 17th, and 18th: Climb aboard the Holly Trolley double-decker for a 55-minute guided tour of Downtown and the Historic District’s spectacular nighttime display of holiday lights and décor. See all the holiday splendor from up high a double-decker tour bus. Starting at Heritage Square for refreshments, then cruise through the timeless Christmas Tree Lane. The Holly Trolley Tours are an annual favorite in Downtown and a perfect way to spend time with loved ones. Prepaid advanced reservations are a must. Toddlers riding on parent’s laps are free otherwise all children must have a paid seat.

MiniNature Reserve is excited to present the 2025 Native Wreath Fest on Sat., Dec. 6th in Downtown Oxnard!
Experience all the fun of making your own special holiday wreath with the help of our talented craft leaders, grab a DIY kit, or buy a pre-made wreath!
The event will also include a Native Plant Sale with a variety of fresh stock from MNR’s Oxnard community nursery and a Holiday Boutique featuring amazing local vendors offering one-of-a-kind gifts.
Join the festivities on Sat., Dec. 6th, 10 AM-4 PM at 416 6th St., Downtown Oxnard.

The Annual Gingerbread House Exhibit & Contest is a beloved holiday tradition that combines creativity, community, and historic charm. Each year, the event transforms Heritage Square Hall into a festive and fragrant display of hand-crafted gingerbread houses created by local residents, families, students, and businesses. This year’s exhibit runs Dec. 8, 2025 – Jan. 10, 2026, inside Heritage Square Hall, at 731 South A St. Admission to view the exhibit is free, and guided walking tours of the surrounding Victorian homes are available for $5 per person.

Stroll & savor your way through four festively adorned homes along Christmas Tree Lane, aka the Henry T. Oxnard Historic District. Each home will be a feast for the eyes in holiday finery, while a literal progressive feast catered by local restaurants will delight your taste buds at each stop paired with delightful beverages from favortite wineries and breweries.
