THOUSAND OAKS — Members of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley had the opportunity to connect with Michael Brockers and his wife, Faith of the LA Rams during a special two-part visit.
A Goal Setting Workshop was held at the Anderson Boys & Girls Club in Thousand Oaks where Faith Brockers talked to the members about the importance of setting goals and ways to achieve them. The youth created vision boards, displaying their goals and shared their personal dreams and aspirations for the future.
Members were also invited to participate in a Sportsmanship Clinic with Michael Brockers also held at the Anderson Club. Brockers talked to the members about the importance of sportsmanship and relayed his personal story how having a mentor helped him become successful in the NFL. Youth also had the opportunity to take part in a Q & A session with Brockers in addition to playing and running drills for a fun fitness challenge.
“We were thrilled to have the Brockers visit with our kids and appreciate all the inspiration they brought with them,” stated Natalie Gonzales, Director of Engagement for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley. “They all learned a great deal plus they had fun too,” she added.
