AGOURA HILLS — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley (BGCGCV) was recently awarded $12,500 from Let Them Play Foundation resulting from a fundraising event held by the Women in Corporate Growth (WCG), part of the Association for Corporate Growth 101 Corridor.
The 2019 WCG fundraiser brought together a panel of powerhouse executives including Darcy Antonelis, CEO, Vubiquity; July Bocabeille, CEO of Algenist; Laura Siegal, CEO, Natal Engineering Co., Inc. and Jennifer Terrill, CEO, Paysafe. Proceeds benefitted Let Them Play Foundation who provided grants to various children’s organizations in Ventura County including BGCGCV.
Dr. Crystal Naone, President/CEO of the BGCGCV along with members of the staff were presented with the grant at the Notter Family Boys & Girls Club in Thousand Oaks. The grant is designed to promote healthy lifestyles at the BGCGCV at all nine clubs.

About Let Them Play Foundation: For the past few years, Eric and Tarah Byrnes had been funding small, specific needs for local youth activity organizations. As a family that deeply valued sport, activity and community, it was a natural fit. The first one was for $450 to their little league, at risk for losing the junior umpire program because they couldn’t afford the proper safety equipment. Eric and Tarah stumbled upon this need, quickly fulfilled it, and began to understand that there were other organizations run by volunteers, serving children, that had small gaps, and that if people knew about them, they would want to fix it. This began a quest for the Byrnes family. The more digging they did, the more profound the need became. Massive amounts of research confirmed the positive correlation between regular physical activity and improved academic performance and better social and emotional environments.
