Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley Announce Newest Member to Board of Governors

AGOURA — The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Conejo Valley (BGCGCV) is pleased to announce a new member to its Board of Governors, Robert Leonard.

Leonard is both an attorney and Certified Public Accountant representing individuals and business involving tax controversies and litigation matters.  Specifically, he represents clients having disputes with the IRS, the Franchise Tax Board and California Department of Tax and Fee Administration and the Employment Development, both at trial and administrative levels.

During his career, Leonard has served as a keynote speaker for the National Association of Enrolled Agents, the American Bar Association, the California Society of CPAs, California Continuing Education of the Bar, the UCLA Tax Controversy Institute and the California State Bar Tax Section.  He also was a guest speaker at the University of La Verne College of Law and has testified as an expert witness on Federal tax matters.  In addition, he was highlighted on Fox News for a successful case that settled an offer in compromise for a struggling client.

Leonard received his undergraduate degree from University of Southern California (B.A.,1986, Accounting), and his law degree from Southwestern University School of Law (J.D., 1992). He became licensed as a CPA in 1989 after working at a Big 8 accounting firm.  He is admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals, U.S. Claims Court, U.S. Tax Court, U.S. District Court and the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

A resident of Lake Sherwood, Leonard enjoys competitive golf as well as playing sports with his son, Andrew, or spending time with his daughters, Dana and Emily.
