VENTURA COUNTY — The Museum of Ventura County is excited to announce the addition of three talented staff members, enhancing its development and exhibition teams as the museum continues to fulfill its mission and vision for the future.
Amy Huot joins the museum as a Development Specialist, bringing over ten years of experience in the non-profit sector. Prior to MVC, Amy played pivotal roles at Kids & Families Together, a Ventura-based organization serving
foster/resource, kinship, and adoptive families. Her journey began as Clinical Office Manager in 2014, eventually advancing to Outreach & Development Manager in 2020. Amy is passionate about creating meaningful connections through fundraising events, helping to ensure their success. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband Keith and daughter Maddie, caring for the neighborhood cat Buddy, reading, and swimming at Pierpont Racquet Club.
Chris Rexroad joins as the museum’s new Exhibitions Manager, bringing 12 years of experience in the museum and gallery world. He spent the last five years with the Walt Disney Archives, where he built and facilitated
exhibitions that traveled across the U.S. and internationally. Chris is eager to contribute to the museum by expanding its annual exhibition schedule and delivering engaging, high-quality exhibitions. Collaborating with the museum’s dedicated staff, Chris will manage the development and scheduling of exciting new exhibits. When away from work, Chris is the father of two boys aged one and three. He spends as much time as he can surfing, hiking, and playing with plants in his yard.
Kristy Rogers joins the Museum of Ventura County as Sales &Sponsorship Specialist, bringing over 20 years of experience in customer service and event coordination. Her career includes roles in catering, event management, and project development, always driven by her enthusiasm and attention to detail. Known for her vibrant personality—often called “Happy”—Kristy thrives in fast-paced, collaborative settings. A Ventura County resident
since 1996, Kristy has a deep appreciation for the area’s history, making the museum a perfect fit for her skills and passion. In her personal life, Kristy shares her life with her long-standing partner, beloved calico cat, Kali, and a 75- year-old inherited tortoise named Rex.
About the Museum — The Museum of Ventura County engages participants in meaningful experiences with history, art, culture, and each other by aspiring to spark curiosity and encourage compassion to build community
and connection. The Museum has two locations – the main museum is located at 100 East Main Street, Ventura, California (805-653-0323). The Agriculture Museum is located at 926 Railroad Avenue, Santa Paula, California (805-525-3100). Both museums are open Thursdays through Sundays, 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. – venturamuseum.org
