National Park Week:

Love national parks?  There’s a holiday for this! National Park Week.  What’s more is that Ventura Harbor is the launching point to the beautiful Channel Islands National Park and also the home of the Channel Islands National Park (CINP) Visitor Center!  Besides the Beach Cleanup With The Channels Islands National Park,

Here are several other ways to celebrate National Park Week seaside:

–Stop by the Channel Islands National Park Visitor Center for Junior Ranger Day on Saturday, April 27, 2024 from 1-4  PM! Festivities are FREE for children and families. Drop by to explore the park and earn a sticker, pin, or badge. –Enjoy the gallery exhibit of Tim Hauf’s photographs that be on display in the theater on Sunday,  April 28, 2024. As April is National Poetry Month, the Visitor Center will also have a unique “Poetry in the Garden” walk from 10 – 10:45 AM in the native plant garden.

Saturday, April 27, 2024 – 11 AM – Noon

Celebrate Earth Day:

Celebrate Earth Day with us! Do your part to keep the oceans clean every day.  Visit the Village Visitor Booth for an opportunity to participate in keeping the harbor clean by helping to collect a small bucket of trash in planters or along the promenade.  Then, enter to win fun prizes, and receive a free Harbor Village sticker to adorn a reusable water bottle. As part of the festivities, do not miss a visit to the SEEAG‘s booth, where they will be selling seedlings and promoting awareness surrounding sustainable agriculture.  Garden and nature lovers can pre-order their plants and pick these up from 10 AM – 2 PM at the Booth on the Promenade. Don’t forget to get involved in Junior Ranger Day!
