VENTURA COUNTY — The West Ventura County Business Alliance (WVCBA) is pleased to announce the recipients of the 55th Annual Camarillo Top Ten Community Awards, the city’s premier recognition event.
Winners were revealed during the Camarillo City Council meeting on August 24 by WVCBA Chair Dawn Simmons, Financial Advisor with Edward Jones.
The awards recognize businesses, organizations and individuals that are dedicated to enhancing Camarillo’s positive business and community environment. Nominations are submitted by the public to the WVCBA and winners are chosen by a selection committee.
The 2022 honorees are:
- Stan Daily Lifetime Achievement Award: Paul Rockenstein
- Business of the Year: SLATE Steak, Sushi & Cocktails
- Educator of the Year: Sarah Perry, Science Teacher at Santa Rosa Technology Magnet School
- Entrepreneur of the Year: Lindsey Carnett, CEO and President of Marketing Maven
- Man of the Year: Dennis Reidmiller
- Public Servant of the Year: Kelly Long, Ventura County Supervisor District 3
- Service Organization of the Year: Camarillo Old Town Association
- Volunteer of the Year: Mary Fish
- Woman of the Year: Lynn Jeffers, MD
- Youth of the Year: Itzel Fernandez
Winners will be celebrated at the 2022 Camarillo Top Ten Community Awards Gala presented by New Urban West on Friday, October 7, from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. at Serra Center in Camarillo. Tickets are $150 (includes dinner with wine) and can be purchased online at www.wvcba.org
