OXNARD — Writer, biologist Rene Corado will be the keynote speaker at VCCDC 4th annual Homeownership Fair from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, June 25 at the VCCDC Homeownership Center, 2231 Sturgis Road, Oxnard.
Rene is the author of the book “El Lustrador” (Shoeshine Boy) in which he tells us about his life story and the many obstacles he faced to achieve his dream of a better life. Rene hopes that this book will inspire people to achieve their dreams like he did.

During the homeownership fair, participants will also celebrate the life and work of VCCDC founder Rodney Fernandez.
The event will also include a “Credit Myth Busters” workshop, resource booths, free lunch, activities for children and live entertainment.
