CAMARILLO — Please join us as local experts share their passion for gardening and landscaping with an eye toward being water wise, an especially important focus with California in the midst of a historic drought.
“We have had the Master Gardeners at the library each spring for several years,” said Dayna Canada, Adult Services Librarian. “They always present an informative program with knowledgeable speakers.”
Julian Hoyle will present “Vegetable Gardening” on Mar. 15, and Dani Brusius will present “Selection of Low Water Use Plants” on Mar. 22 and “Birds, Butterflies, and Bees” on March 29. All presentations will begin at 6:30PM.
Julian Hoyle was born and grew up in Malawi, Central Africa. He has a Master’s Degree in Agricultural Sciences from Cambridge University in England and spent 31 years in the seed production business. In retirement, Hoyle joined the Master Gardeners organization and enjoys sharing his knowledge and teaching people about horticulture.
Dani Brusius is a sustainable landscape expert with over a decade of Master Gardener Helpline service. She specializes in Reduce and Reuse, with training in arboriculture, plant biology, soils and garden pests and diseases.
