Dear Music Lover!

Look at what you’ve helped us achieve!

A Note of Thanks from our Executive Director

As we welcome November and embrace the shift toward shorter days (and change in general) there’s also something reflective and revitalizing in the air as we approach Thanksgiving season.

As I choose to focus on gratitude and hope, I’d like to start by thanking our long time VMF’s supporters and sponsors, the VMF Board of Directors, and sister organizations with whom we have forged new and renewed collaborations. In 2024 so far we have received funding from VCCF, the Cityand County of Ventura’s Arts & culture divisions who have supported VMF with generous grants to augment our music and educational offerings for the entire Community. To them we extend a deep gratitude for spending our tax dollars wisely to enrich our culture in so many ways.

We’ve also strengthened our partnerships with local organizations like NAMBA, where we co-presented 3 live concerts, the Ventura College Foundation, the Schwab Academy, the Oxnard Performing Arts Center Foundation, the City of Ojai’s Libbey Bowl (for the first time in our 30 year history!) and as always, our friends at the Museum of Ventura County to name just a few. We’ll be sharing more about these exciting collaborations shortly so stay tuned. . . in the meantime see some of the recent highlights below.

But it’s really YOUR generosity that makes our mission possible, empowering us to bring incredible artists and educational opportunities to our community. So as we close out the year, I’d like to ask you to consider a year-end 100% tax deductible gift to support music education and the arts in Ventura County.

Together, we will continue building a vibrant cultural legacy here in Ventura in perpetuity.Thank you for being part of our Festival family and for your help keeping the Music alive!

Warmly,

Lale’ j Welsh

Love Letters is a play by A. R. Gurney. The play centers on two characters, Melissa Gardner and Andrew Makepeace Ladd III. Using the epistolary form sometimes found in novels, they sit side by side and read the notes, letters and cards – in which they discuss their hopes and ambitions, dreams and disappointments, victories and defeats – that have passed between them throughout their separated lives for over 50 years. We are thrilled to have the truly fabulous real-life couple Amanda McBroom and George Ball perform.
