VENTURA — The California Association of County Treasurers and Tax Collectors has elected Judge Steven Hintz of Ventura County as the Area 5 director on its Executive Committee. Hintz is the Ventura County Treasurer-Tax Collector.
The association promotes the general interests of the Treasurer-Tax Collectors in California’s 58 counties by providing continuing education, legislative support and through the promotion of technological advances. Area 5 includes 11 Southern California counties, including Ventura County.
Hintz was initially selected to fill the remainder of a term on the Executive Committee. Following his short-term appointment, he was elected as the Area 5 Director for the fiscal year 2019-2020. He previously served in the position in fiscal year 2015-2016.
“We are continually working to provide excellent customer service to our taxpayers,” said Hintz. “This position allows me to share our best practices with other counties and learn from them as well. This kind of collaborative association helps to ensure that all taxpayers in California know their tax dollars are handled professionally and securely.”
