We had a tremendous year in 2024, achieving significant victories for taxpayers like you. Yet, despite our successes, there is more work to do to ensure fiscal responsibility and transparency in our local government. We’re calling on you for your financial support to continue this vital work.
In 2024, we made a real difference:
- We empowered voters: We helped taxpayers understand the complex initiatives and measures on the November ballot, providing clear and concise information to inform their decisions.
- We saved taxpayers money: Our effective advocacy saved Ventura County taxpayers more than $1.5 billion. This is a direct result of our diligent monitoring and proactive engagement.
- We championed transparency: We fought tirelessly for transparency in how the county and cities spend your hard-earned tax dollars, holding them accountable for their fiscal decisions.
- We delivered reports: From our quarterly economic outlooks to analyses on critical issues directly impacting you, we delivered information to you, the Taxpayer.
- We reached thousands of voters: Our comprehensive voter guide was distributed to nearly 45,000 voters in Ventura County, ensuring widespread access to critical information.
We’re fighting for what you believe in: fiscal responsibility, transparency, lower taxes, and the wiser use of tax money. We believe that taxpayers deserve to know how their money is being spent and that government should be held accountable.
Looking ahead to 2025, we are committed to expanding our efforts:
- We will grow our advocacy reach: We will connect with more residents and amplify our voice in local government.
- We’ll tackle more issues: We will address a wider range of issues that impact taxpayers, ensuring comprehensive representation.
- We’ll continue to monitor government action: We will remain vigilant in monitoring government activities to protect taxpayers from wasteful spending and inefficient policies.
- We’ll increase our educational outreach: We will expand our educational programs to empower more citizens with the knowledge they need to participate effectively in local government.
- We’ll build more coalitions: We will strengthen our partnerships with other like-minded groups to maximize our impact and build a stronger voice for taxpayers.
