Ventura County Credit Union concludes ‘Year of Giving’ with $75,000 donation to Museum of Ventura County

VENTURA — Ventura County Credit Union (VCCU) announced a $75,000 donation to the Museum of Ventura County, marking the culmination of the credit union’s “Year of Giving” initiative celebrating its 75th anniversary.

The Museum of Ventura County received the ceremonial check during VCCU’s 75th celebration at the Museum of Ventura County on Saturday, Dec 6. The donation represents the tenth and final gift in VCCU’s yearlong $750,000 commitment to support nonprofit organizations throughout Ventura County.

“This gift from Ventura County Credit Union will help us fulfill our mission to engage the community in meaningful experiences with history, art and culture,” said Elena Brokaw, Barbara Barnard CEO of the Museum of Ventura County. “As we work to expand our programs and strengthen community partnerships, this support enables us to continue serving as a gathering place where diverse voices and stories come together. We are deeply grateful to VCCU for investing in our future and recognizing the vital role museums play in helping us understand our past and build a better future for Ventura County.”

A portion of this generous contribution will underwrite free admission for all visitors during February, March and April in 2026, expanding access to the Museum at a time of growing community engagement. By covering the full cost of entry for three consecutive months, VCCU ensures that every resident and guest can experience the art, history and stories of Ventura County without financial barriers.

“As we celebrate 75 years of serving our community, there’s no better way to honor this milestone than by giving back to the organizations that enrich the lives of our members and neighbors,” said VCCU’s president and CEO, Linda Rossi. “The Museum of Ventura County plays a critical role in preserving our region’s unique history and culture, and we’re proud to support their mission.”

Since its founding in 1950, Ventura County Credit Union has been dedicated to improving the financial well-being of its members while supporting the broader community through volunteer efforts, financial education programs and charitable giving.
