Ventura County Coastal Association of REALTORS® (VCCAR) names new CEO

VENTURA COUNTY — The Board of Directors of the Ventura County Coastal Association of REALTORS® (VCCAR) is pleased to announce the appointment of James Holden as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective March 24, 2025.

Holden brings a decade of association management experience, with a strong track record of leading strategic initiatives while overseeing daily operations, staff, and member services. His expertise spans professional development, member engagement, and strategic planning—making him a strong fit to lead VCCAR into the future. Most recently, he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at East Tennessee REALTORS®, a 6,300-member association serving 12 counties.

VCCAR President Rebeca Elliott expressed confidence in Holden’s leadership, stating, “We are thrilled to welcome James Holden to VCCAR. His experience and leadership skills are a perfect fit for our association, and we are confident he will guide us into a new chapter of growth and enhanced service for our members.”

Holden shared his enthusiasm for the new role, saying, “Having been part of the REALTOR® association world for many years, I am already impressed by VCCAR members’ dedication to both their community and the local real estate industry. It is an honor to step into the role of CEO, and I look forward to working alongside the association’s outstanding leadership and staff.”

VCCAR is a professional trade association of over 2,000 licensed real estate agents in western Ventura County, including the cities of Ventura, Oxnard, Camarillo, Santa Paula, Fillmore and Port Hueneme.
