From a holiday mobile feast, to a tree lighting, a Christmas parade and a tamale festival, downtown Oxnard will be a busy spot this weekend.
> Dec. 1 — Up to 10 gourmet food trucks, including Don Chow, Border Grill, No Jodas, O Street, Slap Yo Mama, Pinoy Jeepney, Frysmith, Code 3 and Sweet Arleens, will participate when the the Holiday Mobile Feast returns to Heritage Square from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1.
> Dec. 2 — The 61st annual Oxnard Christmas Tree Lighting will be held at 5:30 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 at Plaza Park in downtown Oxnard.
> Dec. 2 — The 6th annual ‘Winter Fantasy Music & Light Show’ begins at 5 p.m. Friday, Dec. 2 at Plaza Park in downtown Oxnard. The show continues every 15 minutes from 5 to 10 p.m.
> Dec. 3 — The annual Oxnard Christmas Parade: “The Music & Magic of Christmas,” will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Dec. 3 from A to Fifth Street, and then to C Street in downtown Oxnard.
> Dec. 3 — The 4th annual Oxnard Tamale Festival will be held from 9 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 3 at Plaza Park in downtown Oxnard. Headline musical performances by the Chico Band and Tierra. Proceeds will go to support local recreation programming including Oxnard City Corps and Oxnard Police Activities League. Presented by the City of Oxnard Recreation and Community Services Department and Pacific View Mall. Vendor applications are now being accepted.
