SANTA BARBARA – The UCSB Multicultural Center will present “A Journey Through Brazil and Haiti with Alafia Dance Ensemble” at 8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 14 at the MCC Theater, UCSB.
Alafia Dance Ensemble delivers program of music and dance from Brazil and Haiti, showcasing the rich culture and deep African roots of both traditions, UCSB officials reported in a media release. Live percussion and vocals accompany the choreographies portraying the realm of the Orishas and beyond.
