SANTA BARBARA — With hundreds of classes throughout this summer, SBCC School of Extended Learning is a fit for every schedule. Tuition-free and fee-based life enrichment classes offer a bounty of arts, fitness, and mindfulness classes to fill summer ‘staycation’ time, or in between summer travel. If career advancement or a new job search comes first this summer, Career Skills Institute is the convenient, tuition-free source for training in business, design, technology and career planning. And Adult High School and GED programs are often the first major step on a path to higher education.

Classes and workshops start every week, with 6-week classes and programs offered summer Session I, from May 20 through June 28, and/or summer Session II, June 29 through August 9.

“The School of Extended Learning is our community’s top resource year round to explore life dreams or pursue career goals,” said Dr. Melissa Moreno, Vice President, SBCC School of Extended Learning. “Try a class this summer to discover new career skills, or find inspiration in the simple enjoyment of our Santa Barbara community.”

Summer is also a great time to plan ahead for Fall registration. The Fall print schedule is released on June 30, and registration opens on July 8 for tuition-free courses, and July 10 for fee-based classes.
