OXNARD — Summer may be over, but the weather is still beautiful, and The Collection at RiverPark is offering a safe place for the community to shop, dine and enjoy the fresh air. As Ventura County moves into the red tier, even more businesses will be open at the shopping center for visitors to enjoy.

For those interested in dining out, many of The Collection’s restaurants are reopening indoor dining at 25% capacity. Restaurants will also be offering outdoor dining with extended patio space, giving visitors an opportunity to enjoy a meal and the warm Southern California weather, while safely social distancing. Additionally, The Collection’s Park View Court area is open for the community to enjoy. Visitors can grab their food or coffee and sit in the courtyard for an outdoor picnic.

In addition to enjoying a meal, The Collection’s visitors can meander the outdoor walkways to explore and experience the shopping center’s diverse sculptures, murals and other artwork. Artist Skye Sweet recently created a mural with incredibly intricate details and vibrant colors that visitors have to see for themselves.

Many of the indoor businesses at The Collection are now open as well, with added sanitation and social distancing measures in place so visitors can safely shop at their favorite stores. Additionally, personal care and beauty services, such as hair studios, nail salons and more are now available indoors. 24 Hour Fitness will be resuming indoor operations, and as of Friday Oct. 9, Century RiverPark 16 & XD will also be open to serve moviegoers.

The Collection continues to expand, recently welcoming new tenants, including LaserAway and Ethan Allen. Future openings will include Girl Scouts of California’s Central Coast, located on Town Center Drive. In addition, local favorite Don Waffly and new restaurant Burnin’ Mouth, a take on the Nashville hot chicken concept, will be opening later this year in The Annex Food Hall.

“We are excited to see The Collection continue to grow and thrive in ways that benefit our community,” said General Manager Michael Pynn. “As we move into the red tier, we are focused on creating even more opportunities to connect with the community and help them safely experience all The Collection has to offer.”

All stores and outdoor areas at The Collection are adhering to state and local public health guidelines as well as recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. During their visit, shoppers can expect to see additional hand sanitizing stations throughout the property, increased cleaning of high-touch areas and signage to assist with social distancing. Visitors are encouraged to follow the social distancing guidelines set forth by the state and wear personal protective equipment, such as masks.
