OXNARD — The Annex Food Hall invites friends and family to a morning of storytime and crafts in partnership with First 5 Ventura County and the Oxnard Public Library.
Talk, Read, Sign – a program developed by First 5 California, encourages early literacy skills through programs that boost language comprehension and curiosity. Through a partnership with First 5 Ventura County and the Oxnard Public Library, The Annex Food Hall will host a monthly Kids Club, where developmentally appropriate stories will be selected and performed by a children’s librarian from the Oxnard Public Library system.
To encourage library storytime, the Oxnard Public Library will be on-site during Kids Club to sign friends and family up for a library card. Children are also eligible to receive a free bilingual book from First 5 Ventura County during the September Kids Club after they visit a local library storytime or checkout a book.
After storytime, children are invited to participate in a craft activity presented by The Annex Food Hall. The Annex Food Hall will also offer healthy, kid-friendly drinks and snacks for purchase at participating tenants.
