Teatro de las Américas to present ‘The Truth Can’t Be Trusted / La verdad sospechos’ through April 19

OXNARD — Teatro de las Américas will present “The Truth Can’t Be Trusted / La verdad sospechosa” at 8 p.m. Thursdays through Saturdays and 5 p.m. Sundays, April 9 through 19 at the Oxnard College Performing Arts Center, 4000 S. Rose Ave., in the Black Box Theater, Oxnard.

Written by Juan Ruiz de Alarcón (Spain / Mexico), the classic comedy from the Golden Age of Spanish theater focuses on a young man who returns to Madrid from the university and cannot speak truthfully, bringing grief to his father and jeopardizing a potential marriage with the woman he loves.

The performances are in Spanish with English supertitles. Tickets are $15 general admission, $10 seniors and students, $25 VIP and gala.
