Lompoc Aquatic Center

The crown jewel of Lompoc’s water attractions, the Lompoc Aquatic Center features an impressive array of pools and water play areas. The center also has diving boards, an interactive water playground, and concession stands.

Ocean Beach & Estuary

Bird watchers and nature photographers flock to the windswept sands of Ocean Beach Park & Estuary, where the Santa Ynez River meets the Pacific, and even a short visit will reveal why. This beautiful shoreline is a bounty for spotting many different species of migratory sea birds. The beach is also a protected sanctuary for several species, including closing beach access from March through September to protect the nesting season of the Snowy Plover.

Kiwanis Lake at River Park

At the 45-acre River Park, don’t miss Kiwanis Lake, a small, man-made fishing pond that attracts wildlife and one of Lompoc’s Top Water Play Spots. Picturesque River Park lies against the backdrop of the Santa Ynez River and agricultural fields. The Park features five group barbecue areas (all of which may be reserved), four of which are sheltered. Amenities include individual picnic areas, horseshoe pits, sand volleyball courts, a popular walking/jogging trail, and grassy open space areas. The Park has an RV campground that boasts 35 campsites with full hook-ups.

Jalama Beach

Get off the beaten path at Jalama Beach! There are so many ways to take advantage of the wild, unspoiled coastline—this is a great beach for everything from surfing and swimming to fishing, whale watching, and more. Plus, if you get hungry spending some quality time at the beach, you can grab a famous Jalama Burger.

Miguelito Creek

Another gem tucked away from the hustle and bustle of the city, Miguelito Park is home to playgrounds, hiking trails, horseshoe pits, barbecue grills, and a group picnic area. The park is also home to Miguelito Creek, a local favorite fishing spot.
