SANTA PAULA — Join us at the Agriculture Museum on Monday, Sept. 2, 2019 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. for the 7th Annual Labor Day Tractor Fair, immediately following Santa Paula’s Labor Day Parade. Offering a variety of activities for the entire family to enjoy, admission to the Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair is free!
Generously sponsored by the Topa Topa Flywheelers, the Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair provides visitors the opportunity to take the operator’s seat on vintage tractors, participate in tractor crafts and much more. Other attractions include pie eating contests, apple bobbing, bouncy houses, and many other exciting, family-fun activities! “Our annual Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair offers good old fashion fun for every member of the family,” Museum Manager of the Agriculture Museum Elena Waller says. “It’s also a great opportunity to explore the Museum’s latest exhibit on the Compton Cowboys.” Opening on Labor Day, this new exhibit features photographs documenting the work and mentorship of modern-day urban cowboys working with at-risk youth in South Central Los Angeles.
Performing at the Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair is Salty Suites. Their songbook of original sand traditional songs will cover bluegrass, old country, swing, and classical music with a current edge. Also performing is the Museum’s very own Haul & Oaks, featuring members of the Education department. Serving up food at the fair is Cowboy John’s Smokin’ BBQ, Farm and Flame and Kona Ice.
Participating at the Labor Day Vintage Tractor Fair with exciting educational opportunities and activities is the Santa Paula Bee Club, the UC Master Gardner’s, the Santa Paula Chapter of the Future Farmers of America, and the Boys and Girls Club of Santa Clara Valley. Enjoy the sunshine, live music and a variety of entertaining, family-friendly activities at the Agriculture Museum this Labor Day.
