This year’s show will be juried by art critic and journalist Leah Ollman. The exhibition will award three cash prizes. The deadline for artists to apply is July 12, 2020.

“The Next Big Thing is always full of surprises; we attract exhibitors from across the nation and present an amazing range of artworks in this exhibition. It is also the most complex exhibition to hang, often with sculptural work suspended from the ceiling or cantilevered from the walls, installation pieces and floor-based work,” said SCIART Executive Director Peter Tyas.

The NEXT Big Thing exhibition will open on Aug. 1, 2020 in SCIART’s Blackboard Gallery located at 2222 E. Ventura Blvd., Camarillo. Admission is free. Sponsorships are available. For more information, visit studiochannelislands.com or call (805) 383-1368.
