Help shape the future of YOUR community college

Santa Barbara City College (SBCC) seeks the public’s input as it moves forward with its strategic planning process to set goals and priorities for the next five years. The development of a new strategic plan comes at a crucial time for the college, as schools across the country have seen significant changes in how students access higher education and conditions created by the pandemic have revealed a variety of student and community needs in and out of the classroom. If you have comments of how SBCC can best move forward and meet your needs, you are invited to submit your comments via the online survey. Sunday, Aug. 21 is the deadline to submit.

Coming soon…
For seven days in late August, the Black Faculty and Staff Association in partnership with Umoja are excited to welcome artists from the Bay Area Mural Program (BAMP) who will create a mural on one of the Campus Center walls facing the Humanities building. BAMP believes that “Community art builds bridges from conceptual connection to a physical understanding. With close attention to our clients’ desires, the results are beautiful murals that inspire and motivate viewers.” The SBCC community is invited to view the work in progress throughout the week beginning Aug. 22.
