May 3 — The State of Latinas in the Central Coast to be held in Oxnard

OXNARD —

Dear Central Coast Leader,

Thank you for your commitment to making the Central Coast a thriving region for all. Please join us for The State of Latinas in the Central Coast: Ensuring that All Residents Access Opportunities for Prosperity and Economic Well-Being. This event will be an afternoon of inspiring conversations between researchers and grassroots and government leaders to discuss pathways to well-being and economic prosperity for Latinas in the Central Coast. A formal invitation and details of the program to follow shortly.

We want this event to be a true reflection of the Central Coast and welcome other research happening in the area that showcases the work that leaders in the region are doing to advance Latinas and Indigenous women’s well-being. If you or your organization have research that you would like to share at the event, please contact Dr. Chantiri Abarca, Senior Officer of Community Engaged Research at the UCLA Chicano Studies Research Center cabarca@chicano.ucla.edu, by April 11th to be featured at the symposium.

This event is co-sponsored by the UCLA Chicano Studies Research CenterLatina Futures 2050 Lab, and Future Leaders of America, with the generous support of the Offices of State Senator Monique Limón (California State Senate, District 21) and Supervisor Vianey Lopez (Ventura County Board of Supervisors, District 5).

Hope to see you there!
