Artist Reception & Lecture – From the Ashes: Thomas Fire Photography by Luther Gerlach

The lecture will begin at 6pm

In concert with his current exhibition, From the Ashes: Thomas Fire Photography by Luther Gerlach, join artist and expert in historic photographic processes Luther Gerlach for a special reception and lecture as we mark the one-year anniversary of the Thomas Fire. From the Ashes is currently on view through December 30.

You’re invited to gather around the Museum’s Christmas tree and indulge in a glass of bubbly as you shop for gifts for everyone on your holiday list. Browse one-of-a-kind items from over a dozen local artist vendors including handcrafted jewelry, bags, pottery, paintings, women’s fashion and accessories, and much more. Plus, enjoy live holiday music and Santa Paula’s very own Victorian Christmas Carolers! Admission to the event is free.

Gallery Talk – Meet the Artists

Take a tour of the Museum’s current Art About Agriculture exhibit with the featured artists as your guides! The annual, agricultural-themed art show portrays the beauty and bounty of agriculture in scenes ranging from fields, farmworkers, and farmers markets to animals, barns, and backroad vistas. Each of the artists will reveal the story behind their work of art.
