The year is off to a great start after the Museum hosted its first Free Family Day and ArtSPARK school tour of 2020 this week. Inspired by artist Andrea Vargas and her “Care Bags” project, guests of Free Family Day turned everyday shopping bags into art for activism. Each of our visitors got to choose a cause important to them, then designed and painted their own statement to carry around and share with others. Later in the week, Isbell Middle School special education students toured our current exhibits and made their own mixed media works of art. We’re also quite busy preparing (and being excited) for the Museum’s big Birthday Bash on Saturday, February 1!

To mark the Santa Paula Art Museum’s 10th birthday, we’re throwing a big Birthday Bash on Saturday, February 1, 2020. The event will be a fun filled evening featuring live music by Ryan Quinn and Sounds of the Collective. Quinn received a four-chair turn from Adam Levine, Pharrell Williams, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton on NBC’s “The Voice!” Guests will enjoy cocktails, creative experiences (including a fortune teller and caricature artist), a champagne toast, and more. All proceeds from the event will benefit that Santa Paula Art Museum.
