Santa Paula Art Museum update for March 10

Fillmore artist Lois Freeman-Fox will describe how artists can experience a type of time travel through their choice of artistic medium. Freeman-Fox will relate how she herself left the 21st century behind and embraced the 16th century when she changed from digital painting to oil painting.  Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, and free for students and members.

To further explore the theme of Setting the Scene (the Museum’s current exhibit of historic fine artists who worked in Golden Age Hollywood), freelance illustrator Lala T. Konrath and video game artist Anita McLaughlin will discuss the history of animation. Admission is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, and free for students and members.

The Museum’s Art Auction on April 7 is our biggest fundraiser of the year! Dozens of artworks – ranging from stunning oil and watercolor paintings to decorative glass, pottery, and prints – will be offered in both a silent auction format and during a thrilling live auction. All proceeds benefit the Museum and its educational programs.

The Museum is excited to announce that, periodically, we will be using one of our gallery spaces as an extension of the Museum’s gift store.
