Discover Your Gift Through Artful Self-Expression at the Santa Paula Art Museum

Saturday, July 21, 2018: 2:00pm to 3:00pm. Admission to the talk is included with regular museum admission, which is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, and free for students and museum members.

SANTA PAULA – There is nothing more beautiful than seeing an artist, creator, citizen in their full sense of self-expression: that moment when their most powerful capacity to give, love, and create is on display. It is what one might call “artful self-expression,” and there is a microcosmic event that brings a pursuit of artful self-expression into tangible form. It happens each year in the Nevada desert in a world covered in playa dust and sparkles: a world called “Burning Man.” Artful self-expression is about identifying the greatest gift that you as an individual can offer to the world and then giving it away. One can share their art in so many ways – a public display or installation, at a gathering of friends and family, or just in a way of being on a daily basis. On Saturday, July 21, 2018, Santa Paula Art Museum docent and Burning Man participant Seana-Marie Sesma will share what the annual Burning Man event has taught her about how one can discover and live their gift. The talk begins at 2pm at the Santa Paula Art Museum. Admission to the talk is included with regular museum admission, which is $4 for adults, $3 for seniors, and free for students and museum members.

The Santa Paula Art Museum is located at 117 N 10th Street in historic downtown Santa Paula.
