Santa Paula Art Museum update for April 8 — We’ve Got a Kiln!

JEANETTE COLE ART CENTER & COLE CREATIVITY CENTER
Here are the Museum’s top 5 moments from the past week:
We’ve Got a Kiln!
This week the Museum was gifted a kiln from an absolutely wonderful donor who prefers to remain anonymous. Having our own kiln opens up so many opportunities for new classes. Thank you anonymous!
Family Portrait
Family was a big theme for us this past week starting with the lovely group pictured here. Artist Jose Galvan’s family made a special trip to see his self-portrait currently on exhibit.
Free Family Day
Over 100 kids and parents enjoyed Free Family Day on Sunday. Working together, families created “art boxes” inspired by artist Joseph Cornell. Click here to view pics from our photo booth at the event.
Face of California
We received over 100 entries from artists across California for the Museum’s upcoming Face of California group exhibition. The accepted artworks will be on display beginning May 18.
Twenty Paintings Sold
Susan Petty’s oil painting entitled Coral Aloes was the twentieth painting to sell from our current exhibit Common Ground – a show Petty shares with Meredith Brooks Abbott and Gail Pidduck.
