Now Online: Santa Paula Sojourn, a Solo Exhibition by Shannon Celia
Artist Shannon Celia loves small towns – the kind of places with personality, historic buildings and quirky details, and where people are passionate about caring for their community. Santa Paula has all those things in droves. Nearly three years ago, Celia embarked on a Santa Paula Sojourn to explore and paint our city. Her exhibition is now available to view online.
“I hope my show inspires people to look at where they live with fresh eyes and gratitude,” says Celia. “It’s the idea that we’re better all together. We’re better when we all care about a place and each other.”
Kids can explore and celebrate their own communities with this online art project from Doodles Academy that walks participants through a thoughtful neighborhood exploration project. With both “upper academy” (older kids) and “lower academy” (younger kids) options, there’s something for everyone.
