Free Family Day: Women’s History Month
Sunday, March 1, 2020: 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
Our March Free Family Day will celebrate Women’s History Month with abstract art projects inspired by women artists! We’ll show you how to mix colors and explore shape, line and pattern while creating your own abstract painting. Plus, contribute your own designs to a collaborative community artwork which will be displayed inside the Museum’s Cole Creativity Center. Admission is free, all are welcome, and all materials will be provided.
Class: Mommy/Daddy and Me (Ages 4 and under)
Four Wednesdays in March (March 4; March 11; March 18; and March 25): 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.
We’re offering another month of our popular Mommy/Daddy and Me class for parents with children ages 4 and under. Spend quality time with your little one and cultivate their creativity. Supplies and clean-up are on us! Prices vary: $25.00 – $35.00 for all four sessions, or $8.00 – $10.00 for a one-time drop-in class.

Class: Plein Air Outing (Ages 16+)
Saturday, March 7, 2020: 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
Team up with experienced plein air enthusiast Lisa Mahony and learn the tools and techniques for successful outdoor painting. Students will meet at the Museum for preparation and guidance, and then walk to nearby spots for inspiration from local vistas! The cost of class is $55.00 per person, which includes a portable gouache kit.
Class: Color and Creativity (Ages 16+)
Three Sundays in March (March 8; March 15; and March 22): 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Join color expert Vyana Novus and explore our vital connections to color and how to leverage it for creativity, productivity, and success. Learn about color theory, paint with natural earth pigments, and dig into your color connection. The cost of this three-part course is $100.00 per person.

Premiere Party: Inspiration and Influence
Saturday, March 14, 2020: 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m.
Stone sculptor Duane Dammeyer and abstract painter Rima Muna are two very different artists, but they have one thing in common: both are eager and open to finding inspiration anywhere, including in each other. Meet the artists during the premiere of their new exhibit, Inspiration and Influence. Admission to the event is $10.00 for museum members and $15.00 for non-members.

Class: Stroke of Genius – Learning from the Masters (Ages 16+)
Saturday, March 14, 2020: 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.
Join us for a time honored tradition recognized and practiced by the greatest artists – copying! During our new Stroke of Geniusclass series, you can hone your painting skills, jump-start your creativity, and make something beautiful by learning from great paintings by the masters. Our March masterpiece will be Claude Monet’s “Poppy Field.” The cost of class is $35.00 per person.
Class: Eco Flower Printing (Ages 12+)
Saturday, March 21, 2020: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. ONLY ONE SPOT LEFT
Welcome spring and invite nature into your home with Eco Flower Printing and the wonders of natural dyes. Work with seasonal flowers and plant-based pigments such as indigo and turmeric to create beautiful prints on natural fabrics. Leave with a new skill and a hand-printed silk scarf and tea towel. The cost of class is $40.00 per person.

The 10th Annual Fine Art Auction Fundraiser

The Museum’s annual Art Auction Fundraiser is back and better than ever! Help support the Museum’s many programs by bidding on museum-quality art that you can take home. Also enjoy live music, cocktails and more. Admission to the event is free.
