Santa Barbara Studio Artists shared a moment with Santa Barbara Mayor Helene Schneider and Stephanie Langsdorf, district Representative for County Supervisor Doreen Farr, at the recent opening reception for The 11th Annual Open Studios Tour. The reception was held at the Santa Barbara Frame Shop & Gallery and provided an opportunity for art collectors, architects, interior designers and art appreciators to meet the artists and view examples of each of the artists’ work.
The event kicked off the Open Studios Tour weekend, where 35 professional artists opened their studios and homes to tour ticketholders. The Santa Barbara Studio Artists, a local nonprofit dedicated to raising the profile of Santa Barbara as a destination for the arts, presents the annual ‘self-guided driving tour’ including locations in Santa Barbara, Montecito, Carpinteria, Goleta (and for the first time, this year, in Lompoc).
