Santa Barbara Humane Society New Website is a Communitywide Resource for Pet Owners and Adopters

SANTA BARBARA – As a provider of animal welfare services since 1887, the Santa Barbara Humane Society continues to adapt to the needs of today’s community with its new website, featuring a fresh user-friendly and mobile responsive design and expanded resources for pet owners and those considering shelter adoption. These features are available to Humane Society members as well as non-members.

“We welcome the entire community to visit our new website frequently and discover the wealth of caring and expert services and resources we offer,” said Peggy Langle, Executive Director, Santa Barbara Humane Society. “While making it even easier for people to find the perfect match in a new best friend, we are excited for the new website to make our services and resources even more accessible to local families, emergency responders, other animal welfare organizations and many other groups throughout our community.”

The new Santa Barbara Humane Society website, at www.sbhumanesociety.org, now features:

  • The updated Adopt section showcases the personalities of animals waiting for their forever home. Finding the perfect match at the Santa Barbara Humane Society has never been easier.
  • “Happy Tails” is a growing collection of stories of adopted pets and their new owners. The Humane Society welcomes adopters to get in touch to have their story featured.
  • The new Learning Library is a growing collection of tip sheets and articles for pet behavior and health, including a unique printable grief support booklet On Coping with the Loss of a Companion Animal. Some of the most popular topics include vaccinations, kitten behavior, territorial marking and emergency preparedness.

At the new website, the community can easily find information on the multitude of services that Santa Barbara Humane Society offers such as clinic services, boarding, humane education, training, animal rescue and the lost & found hotline. The fee schedule is also posted on the website.

The Santa Barbara Humane Society is an independent, local nonprofit and is not affiliated with a national organization. All donations support the local shelter operations and humane education programs.
