Raising Funds for Survivors of Sexual Assault and Intimate Partner Violence
SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY — ?RISE and Lemos Feed & Pet Supply are partnering together to host a Pet of the Year photo contest. They are inviting community members to sign up for the contest by February 21st. Participation is FREE; all you need is a pet and an interest in supporting an important cause. Each participant will receive a unique voting page with a profile of your furry (or not-so-furry) friend. Participants will share their voting page with friends and family, who will vote with a donation to support RISE and ongoing services for local survivors of sexual assault/abuse and intimate partner violence and their loved ones.
The winning pet will be named the 2021 RISE Pet of the Year, will be featured in our monthly newsletter, and will receive a $50 gift card to Lemos Feed & Pet Supply. Any type of pet can participate. Visit RISEslo.org to sign-up or learn more.
RISE San Luis Obispo County is a nonprofit organization that supports survivors of sexual assault/abuse and intimate partner violence and their loved ones. Intimate Partner Violence is occurring at increased rates due to restrictions related to COVID-19. Local support for survivors is critical to sustaining low and no-cost services to those suffering from violence.
RISE is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to transform the lives of sexual and intimate partner violence survivors, their families, and the community through services and education that promote safety, healing, and empowerment. RISE provides the following programs: 24-hour crisis line, case management, restraining order assistance, accompaniment and advocacy, two safe houses, individual and group counseling, and prevention education.
