SANTA BARBARA — This spring, the SBCC School of Extended Learning is filled with in-demand classes for adults of all ages seeking to advance their careers, enrich their lives, achieve a better work-life balance, or keep mind and body in top shape post-retirement. Students can find everything from learning ways to use healthy ingredients to satiate a sweet tooth, or get a dose of nature by learning to create a tiny garden this spring at Santa Barbara City College School of Extended Learning.

Spring Semester registration is now open and classes will be held January 16 through May 12, 2018. Classes and workshops start every week throughout the semester, and are held on evenings, weekdays and Saturdays to fit every lifestyle. At the School of Extended Learning, you can learn all new skills in the kitchen, with courses such as Satisfy Your Sugar in a Healthy Way, or find a unique, creative outlet with classes such as Small Space Gardening. These are just two of the over 800 offerings coming to the School of Extended Learning this Spring. View the printed schedule at sbcc.edu/ExtendedLearning, which includes both fee-based and tuition-free classes.

“Stepping into the classroom is like beginning a new adventure, and we have created a lineup of classes and instructors that deliver a rich experience to adult students from all walks of life,” said Dr. Melissa V. Moreno, Interim Vice President, School of Extended Learning. “We are thrilled to welcome the community to the Spring 2018 semester.
