Danielle DiMartino-Booth is a full-time columnist for Bloomberg View and a commentator frequently featured on CNBC, Bloomberg, Fox News, Fox Business News, Yahoo Finance and other major media outlets. DiMartino-Booth spent nine years at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas where she served as Advisor to President Richard W. Fisher throughout the financial crisis until 2015. Her work at the Fed focused on financial stability and the efficacy of unconventional monetary policy, and her position at the Fed gave her a front row seat to the extraordinary interventions undertaken during the Financial Crisis and their ultimate effect on economic growth and economic equality for the nation. DiMartino-Booth’s work inside the Fed is the basis of her book FED UP: An Insider’s Take on Why the Federal Reserve is Bad for America. ?

Matthew Fienup is the Executive Director of the Center for Economic Research & Forecasting at California Lutheran University. He is also Assistant Professor of Economics and teaches courses in Econometrics, Macroeconomics and Environmental Economics in CLU’s Masters of Quantitative Economics Program. Matthew is a member of the Wall Street Journal Economic Forecasting Survey. He was the recipient of 2019 and 2020 Crystal Ball Awards for the Zillow Home Price Expectations Survey (formerly the Case Shiller Home Price Survey). CERF’s U.S. home price forecast received multiple top-3 rankings among more than 100 forecasts included in the survey.

Matthew completed his doctorate in Environmental Economics at the Bren School of Environmental Science & Management at UC Santa Barbara. He returned to school to pursue his PhD after running a small business in Ventura County for more than a decade. His other specialties are California Natural History, technical rock climbing and photography. Matthew graduated summa cum laude from Brooks Institute of Photography and spent more than 15 years working as a professional climbing guide.
