A reception for exhibit by ceramic artists Kim Clark, Cecile Gurrola-Faulconer to be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, May 3 at Studio 1317, 1317 No. Ventura Ave., next to G&S Building Supply, in Ventura, the studio reported in a media release.
The artists have in common a sense of whimsy in their work. Clark creates a world of figures which morph from tiny people to animals to birds who are engaged in activities which tell their stories. Gurrola-Faulconer creates a world of masks of beauty and disguise. Event includes featured artists, refreshments, guitar and songs by Peter Boles.
