SANTA BARBARA — Tamara Skov, a former health care executive and non-profit manager has joined local estate management firm Quinn Fiduciary Services as an associate fiduciary.
Skov, a California Licensed Professional Fiduciary, has worked extensively in non-profit management and charitable gift planning, balancing the mission of the non-profit with the needs and interests of donors. She’s held numerous high-ranking positions at area organizations, including serving as executive director of the Santa Barbara-based VNA Health Foundation, director of development of the Sansum Clinic, and director of contributor services for the United Way of Santa Barbara County. For several years she also worked as a realtor specializing in helping seniors explore options for aging gracefully, including aging at home, relocating near family, or moving to retirement communities.
After assisting with managing the affairs of her father following his death, Skov decided to become a fiduciary. This personal experience gave her a keen understanding of the nuances of balancing estate preservation with maintaining a desirable lifestyle, while also planning for potential future needs. Skov is passionate about helping clients organize their affairs and implement their plans.
In addition to her fiduciary license, Skov holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations from the University of California, Davis. Prior to settling in Santa Barbara she lived in Germany and in various parts of the United States. In her free time, Skov loves to travel and spend time with family and friends.
