SANTA MARIA — Warm and clean socks are ready for Christmas, thanks to the Pioneer Valley High School Resource Family Student Support Team (RFSST).
This past weekend, club members took more than 350 pairs of socks, collected during the PV Sock Drive, to the Foster/Adopt Christmas Extravaganza. The event, designed for foster and adopted children throughout SLO County, was held at the Grace Bible Church in Arroyo Grande.
The Panthers also volunteered and escorted children to the Santa’s workshop where each kid was able to pick one toy such as a scooter, fishing pole, games and much more. Every registered child also received a stocking from Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
“It was such an awesome experience to see the children excited and enjoying the gifts,’’ said club advisor Trina Leornas. “Our club members loved the experience as well.”
