Breast Cancer Awareness Month

??The Board of Harbor Commissioners approved a resolution on October 21st in observance of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. ??

The theme for Breast Cancer Awareness Month 2024 is “No one should face breast cancer alone”, emphasizing the importance of providing comprehensive support, including medical, emotional, psychological, and social care, to patients and survivors.

This Resolution was received by St. John’s Cancer Center & Oncology Patient Navigator.

California Clean Air Day

The Port of Hueneme celebrated California Clean Air Day on Wednesday October 2nd!

The day of clean air acknowledgement is a project of the Coalition for Clean Air and aims to reduce air pollution and improve community health. The day is based on the idea that shared experiences can inspire people to take action and create new habits.

This project closely aligns with the Port of Hueneme’s values and goals.

This resolution was unanimously passed by the Board of Harbor Comissioners and received by VCAPCD.

GOING BANANAS AT PORT OF HUENEME!

Over 10,000 visitors attended the Port’s 11^th Annual Banana Festival, celebrating a diverse working waterfront. The Festival offered attendees a unique opportunity to experience one of the most efficient and effective working waterfronts on the West Coast.
