On August 26, the Port of Hueneme proudly recognized Sherri Malis, one of the newest members of our team and the Port’s first-ever female Harbormaster Supervisor.
In a field that has traditionally been male-dominated, Sherri is breaking barriers and setting a strong example of leadership through resilience and determination. When asked what advice she would share with women entering similar career paths, she offered:
“Jump right in and don’t give up—just keep pushing forward.”
