CENTRAL COAST – People’s Self-Help Housing (PSHH) has been recognized by the Ventura County Community Development Corporation (VCCDC) as the recipient of their Michael McGuire Award for Excellence in Community Partnership.Each year, VCCDC honors individuals and organizations for their contributions to improving the lives of families and individuals through investment of time, resources, and advocacy, thereby underscoring important community engagement, visionary leadership, and lifetime of excellence. At this year’s Annual Awards Ceremony, ‘Leading People Home’, PSHH was selected for this prestigious recognition for their dedication to building robust, inclusive communities and offering affordable housing solutions to those in need.

PSHH was recognized alongside Rashi Kallur, Bruce Stenslie, Jack Hinojosa, and Barbara Macri-Ortiz who also received awards for their work in transforming lives through community partnerships, transformational leadership, and homeownership affordability and creation.

Founded in 1970, PSHH is the longest-serving nonprofit affordable housing organization on the Central Coast. With a mission of building homes and providing services to strengthen communities and change lives, PSHH serves low-income households, working families, seniors, veterans, farmworkers, those living with disabilities and the formerly homeless.
