People’s Self-Help Housing (PSHH) appoints Nicole Ramos as new Human Resources and Administrative Officer

CENTRAL COAST — Nicole Ramos has been promoted to the newly created position Chief Human Resources and Administrative Officer (CHRAO) for People’s Self-Help Housing (PSHH).

“After much collaboration to assess how the PSHH organizational structure supports our continued expansion, both in headcount, footprint, and the number of residents served, I’m excited and encouraged about this new position!,” said CEO and President Ken Trigueiro, “Nicole has great respect and admiration among all staff and is very well suited for this role.”

As the CHRAO, Nicole will provide direction and advocacy for our Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion initiatives, and the Human Resources, Information Technology, Office Operations, and Public Affairs departments. Through this new appointment, she will help further strengthen collaboration across organizational functions that provide internal staff services along with innovative communication, infrastructure, and mission-focused solutions for our team members and the communities that we serve.

Nicole began her career in Human Resources in the digital marketing industry developing from the role of HR Coordinator to HR Director, where she oversaw HR, Talent Acquisition, Administration, and Marketing departments for the West Coast region of her then organization. Since joining PSHH in 2017, Nicole has successfully served as the PSHH Director of Human Resources supporting the continued growth of PSHH. Nicole has greatly expanded and enriched the employee experience, for the now over 220 team members, through the adoption of enhanced benefit packages, hybrid work patterns, and internal paths for career development. Her prior experience developing teams, establishing strategic business practices, and directing organizational initiatives will provide a critical foundation for a successful transition into the CHRAO position and expanded support of PSHH’s mission.

A lover of animals, the outdoors, and spending time with her family, Nicole and her husband are proud to call San Luis Obispo home.
